5 skincare mistakes you must stop making right away !

Hey all, hope the day is treating you well.

Would you agree, we all fall for those glossy,  photoshopped magazine covers and pages that showcase beautiful, luminous healthy looking skin. We get tempted to buy all that makeup which we think can make our skin glowy . BUT the truth is no amount of make-up can compensate for healthy skin. There is diet and overall healthy lifestyle that helps to acheive fuss-free healthy skin and it is a topic on its own. I will not dwell on that today. What I want to share with you instead, is those common mistakes that I am for sure accused of making just like many of you for the longest time. Continue reading

Hey lovely people,

Hope you are having a great day. I am very much looking forward to the weekend myself. Husband and I will be dog-sitting a friend’s dog. Aahhhh can’t wait he is coming in a  few hours , yippie !!!

In the other news, I recently came across this very interesting and new product (new to me at least), and want to share my brief experience with it. Continue reading

The Master Cleanser – Detoxing Sea Kelp Leaf Cleansing Foam-Yay or Nay !

I am a big fan of anything detoxifying, cannot resist to use products that mention about “detoxifying” in their description. I would say , so far some have been gimmicky but most have worked on me. Honestly the most detoxifying products that I have used happen to be masks and so when I came across this cleanser (will not bother to write down the entire name again ;-), I was pleasantly surprised. I like seaweed (for its nutritional benefits ), I like detoxifying anything and I love to try out new cleansers as often as I can so it took me fraction of a second to put it in my basket. It was almost an impulsive purchase but at least I knew what to expect from it: deep cleansing of my face.
All in all I would give it a 4.5 out of 5. Read below for my brief review:

Sephora online mini haul :-)

I recently did a mini haul in Sephora  and thought of sharing it with all you guys!!!

There are so many beauty stores here in Zurich but unfortunately no Sephora. I was so excited to know that Manor, which is  one of the largest Swiss departmental stores has recently collaborated with Sephora and oh so näive me, I thought now when I enter the biggest Manor in Zurich, I will see a Sephora corner somewhere in there. Unfortunately, it is an online collab , so we do get some products that are otherwise not available like Peter Thomas Roth, Nars, Too Faced etc etc but I somehow lost my interest in buying online from Manor. What I did instead was trying the Sephora online main website and because I wasn’t too sure about the customs drama etc I thought I should go for a mini haul and first see what my experience is. Kiehl’s Over Night Biological Peel Versus Le Weekend De Chanel: Game on!

I am always on the lookout for products to even out my skin tone, and  to get that healthy glow. A few months ago, Chanel’s  le Weekend caught my attention, more so because the sales lady at the counter told me its a moisturizer with exfoliating properties! I had never come across such a product profile and of course found it intriguing. Despite the hefty price tag I brought it home also because I have had great experience with Chanel skincare before (love their face cleanser and Hydra beauty serum). Continue reading

Are Glamglow mud masks worth the price? Product review

You know you are a skincare junkie: when you have contemplated at least once on getting your hands on the glam glow mud masks.

I remember when the whole buzz of glam glow masks hit my world, I completely went against the current and convinced myself that these super gaudy looking jars cannot be as good as the whole hype is about. And one year after, I couldn’t resist the temptation of owing them myself and try my hands on one of the most hyped masks ever.  So join me in finding out what the hype is all about any way?

I own two Glam glow masks: the clearing treatment and the brightening mask.

I have been using both for the last 4 weeks and have my own opinion on both.

The internet had been buzzing a lot over clearing treatment, thirsty mud, gravitymud treatment, and recently over the brightening mask. I am a sucker for all things that claim to clear my skin and give that brightened appearance. I had high hopes of course after purchasing such expensive jars of mud 🙂

Tame the Monster Series-My Skincare Regimen

skincare

Hey Lovelies, hope the day is treating you well

Currently I am obsessing on Make-up, its a new world I have recently gotten into and I love every bit of it. I am all into reading reviews and purchasing tons of Make-up. However, I also noticed that with my growing obsession with make-up, my skin is asking for more and more attention. I don’t believe in using make-up to hide the drama that is going on in your skin but to bring out the best in you including the skin. So I had to refurbish my skincare routine.

I thought what better way to start our Thursday series- TAME THE MONSTER by sharing my skincare routine with you guys and may be I will get to hear from you about yours, so lets bond over skincare coversations, shall we? Continue reading
