Remember I had started spring cleaning one day when I found that coat, guess what I had also found a sweater-shrug , well I don’t know if there is such a thing, but it is a woolen sweater so small that it qualifies to be called a shrug :-). This cute little grey shrug is another great find from thrift market in Noida, India. The dress is from Orsay, it was on special price of 15 Euro. The heels are the same that I wear in almost every outfit post. They are from H&M, so old that I forgot how much they were for but I am assuming not more than 20 Euro. Continue reading
I have already started with my spring cleaning, have you? It is that time time of the year when I miss being in India because one of India’s biggest and fun festival is just around the corner- HOLI ! Will talk more about it in my next post but today I want to share with you a coat that I found in one of the old boxes in the cellar when I began a huge task of spring cleaning. To my delight, I found this beautiful faux fur animal print coat. Ha ha that was the beginning and pretty much the end to my cleaning plan. Continue reading
Hey all ,
Hope you are having great holidays wherever you are in the world and are as stoked as I am for ringing in 2017 soon 🙂
We celebrated our Christmas in a beautiful French city COLMAR , which truly was magical. There were five Christmas markets in all and although it was far from white Christmas, the city was dripping in Christmas spirit. Me and my husband share a special liking to the city and becuase it is only an hour away from where we live in Germany and Colmar has Sephora so I never hesitate to visit this gorgeous corner of France. Plaid is one iconic pattern that goes back to thousands of years in history and I am sure you would agree that it will continue to be a fashion staple for years to come.
I love patterns in general, but with plaid I share something special, you don’t believe it? check out the pics at the end. Well, when I think of it, I believe my love for plaid may have something to do with my love for “Scotland”. It’s my dream to go to the “Tartan” land for more reasons than one. We all have watched “Braveheart” movie right ? or “Outlander” series ? mmmm… if not, you know what you could watch during this weekend, I promise you won’t be disappointed 🙂 Continue reading
In my last post I did a short rant about how infrequent my blog posts are BECAUSE I am trying to finish my PhD. I got a lot of support from all you wonderful friends, which I appreciate from the bottom of my heart. I got so encouraged reading such kind , warm and supportive comments that I got my act together and decided to do at least one more post before the month of scanty posts (read October) is done with. So this is the Olympic year and, I was up all night to catch the Olympic 2016 opening ceremony. It is always accompanied by some breathtaking moments, offering a great sense of pride and patriotism.
Sitting in your living room, you often recall your glorious sports memories from back in the good old school-days time. What ? you don’t ? OK then may be it is just me but the point is OLYMPICS is a great deal. I, for one try to catch as much sports as I can and thoroughly enjoy every bit of it.
Additionally, what I enjoy to watch is the olympic uniforms of all the teams from around the world. I put on my own critic glasses to scrutinize each and every uniform very diligently and then passing judgements on what I like and what I don’t. This is the beauty of being confined in the living room, you have all the power in the world to pass on judgements, isn’t it? 🙂 Continue reading
Warning: Longread and no pictures 🙂
Fashion blogging is pretty saturated, this is what we read these days. But I will not dwell on it today.
I am instead compelled to streamline my thoughts on the changing environment of the fashion and lifestyle blogging world.
I read a few posts (by Indian bloggers) which talk about how most new bloggers are generic with no distinct taste and style. This made me think on this whole issue of changes that fashion blogging has seen recently and how unfair it is to judge new bloggers in the block for getting the blogging wrong.
Well, I have been an avid blog follower and reader since 2009-2010. I always believed that one thing that made blog -a blog – was the freedom to own it and use it as your creative space. And creative abilities my differ from person to person. NONE of those blogs were anyway meant for making money because, simply put, there was no market AVAILABLE for the blogs.
Hello my lovelies !
Hope you all are doing great! I am writing this post from Hanoi, Vietnam! YAY!!!!!! I am here for work purpose but will make sure I get to explore the city and the sorroundings during weekends. Looking forward to sharing my experience from here, and if you have some recomemndations on Hanoi please please please share them with me 🙂
There is no doubt that our generation has seen communication technology to grow by leaps and bounds but have you ever wondered how fashion and style had been crossing borders way more faster than any thing else even at the time when we were restricted to just one national television channel. When the West was celebrating bouffant hairstyle in the 60s, we had our own mothers in the East following the trend by puffing out and teasing their hair because that was the in-thing during that times.
Another such rage was the Bell-bottoms (Flared pants). It is safe to say that this particular style has seen more than three generations and is still lingering around, not as popular as it was in the 70s, but guys we have to give it up for the Flared pants to stand tall through times.
