First-aid Beauty (FAB) Facial Radiance Overnight Mask: Product review

Hey all,

I am sure you all will agree,  night time skincare routine is so much fun and effective. Good night sleep, itself is a great booster but combined with overnight skincare really helps our skin to rejuvenate and prep for fighting against the environmental factors that constantly work against our skin.

Overnight masks are for sure fun to add in the skincare routine but it is really essential to seal it or any night serum with a good sleeping moisturizer /cream.  Talking about which, do visit my dear blogger friends from Chai and Lipstick as they are reviewing a great overnight cream option on their blog today. I always find their reviews super helpful.

In this post, let’s talk about First-aid Beauty (FAB) Facial Radiance Overnight Mask.

So let’s begin with the review starting with what the product claims:

It is a solution for dryness, dullness and uneven Skin Tone. It’s free from Alcohol, Artificial Colorants, Artificial Fragrance, Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Petrolatum, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Sulfates  and guess what it is Allergy-Tested, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Suitable for Sensitive Skin,  and Vegan.

It retails for 38$ but currently on sale retailing for 19$ at the First Aid Beauty website

Key ingredients:

Vitamin C :  helps skin appear brighter and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Niacinamide: helps skin appear more bouncy and restore healthy tone and texture.

Echium Seed Oil: rich in Omega Fatty Acids, helps nourish and strengthen the skin barrier.

FAB Antioxidant Booster: helps stave off environmental aggressors with Licorice Root, Feverfew and White Tea extracts.

My experience:

I apply a small amount of this mask (not as much as shown in the swatch) after cleansing my face and pat drying. I found it to be thick and heavy in comparison to the other overnight masks I have used so far. I personally think it is best suited for people with dry to very dry skin or for winter time. Actually I purchased this product last year and used most of the mask during winter time. But people with combination to oily skin can get away with it by applying a small amount because it may appear very heavy but it is infact non comedogenic and will not clog your pores.

The mask is not fragrance free , I feel it faintly smells like glue. But again it is not too strong to bother you. It may take some time to absorb into the skin and massaging it well is equites.

I always feel my skin is softer and plump in the morning, and also after few more uses, I did notice that my skin was more radiant and even-toned. I had to take a break from this one simply because as with all skincare products, the skin gets used to the product and stop making any noticeable difference. So I switch back and forth between my favorite Shiseido Ibuki sleeping mask and this one. Lately I am using this one more because my skin is now drier than ever. I find this FAB overnight mask very healing and hydrating.

Will I repurchase it? Yes sure at some point. I do like to try out new products and it takes a while for me to finish any product but for winter time, I think I would love to have it in my stash.
