My love for all things Plaid

Plaid is one iconic pattern that goes back to thousands of years in history and I am sure you would agree that it will continue to be a fashion staple for years to come.

I love patterns in general, but with plaid I share something special, you don’t believe it? check out the pics at the end. Well, when I think of it, I believe my love for plaid may have something to do with my love for “Scotland”. It’s my dream to go to the “Tartan” land for more reasons than one. We all have watched “Braveheart” movie right ? or “Outlander” series ? mmmm… if not, you know what you could watch during this weekend, I promise you won’t be disappointed 🙂

Anyway, the point is that there are several Scottish clans that are known to wear very distinctive clothing, the respective colors and patterns on those clothing’s of different Scottish clans are described by the name: “Tartan. Whereas, Plaid is more like an inspired-recreated pattern that has made the concept of Tartan (pattern) popular amongst old and young, men and women, professionals and students, Scottish or non-scottish J See another reason to love Plaids, this beautiful fabric pattern brings the world together, it goes across any class, caste, creed, gender, religion, territorial boundaries… On this cheeky note, let me talk about all-things-plaid in my closet at this given point, I apologize for bad quality pictures though, some pics are from before the blogging era 🙂

Summer shirts/tops

and an autumn coat

, which is what I wore to run errands on Saturday morning.

I would love to buy more plaid coats actually but am out of luck in finding one that I like. This one I bought couple of years ago and it still is making its way to my autumn /winter wardrobe. This one I got from Esprit, don’t remember the price but it fitted the student budget ;-). It is quite warm and oh the colors and pattern on it just make me wear it the most, out of all the outerwears I have. I even wore it in extreme winter in Berlin back in 2014 during Christmas time. Had to drink a lot of spiced wine to keep myself warm but this is how much I love this coat.

Do you also share the love for plaid, what all plaid clothing you have in your wardrobe? Do share with me- your plaid-fanatic friend 🙂

Wishing you a lovely Week.

Stay warm and snuggly, stay blessed !

    • Hey thanks a ton for stopping by, I am so happy to read your lovely comment. Ha ha …about the face…I don’t know I somehow feel more comfortable this way, I am a very shy person in real and I started blogging to let myself open up a little and I love it so far, its just that putting myself out there with my face makes me a bit nervous. But hopefully after sometime I I will be ready to own myself for what I am 🙂
      Hugs and much love,
