Instrospection, Autumn and Midi-fever

Please feel free to scroll down to the very end to avoid the rant if you like, outfit pictures are at the end πŸ™‚

so here the short rant begins …

I would be very happy if nobody has noticed it yet that I have failed to upload posts on regular basis, but I for sure know that I indeed have failed in that front. I know it is almost like committing blog-suicide. No matter how much I wantedΒ  it to happen, I have not been able to post a certain blogpost on a certain day and time. As I thought more about it, my rational mind told me three things straight off:

  1. I am not serious about the blog
  2. I have no respect for my readers
  3. I am a failure

But thankfully as I was about to lose all my self-esteem, my emotional mind told me otherwise. Infact, it tried to rationalize the rational thoughts for me ha ha πŸ™‚

Well, yes it is true that I don’t generate as much content as normal blogs do. But I also know that I should not be comparing myself with anyone. I know I can do better but I also know my limitations. PhD is not a 9-5 job at all, its 24 hrs job and most times you even feel guilty for trying to have a regular goodnight sleep. So may be it is still ok to have few posts than to have none at all πŸ™‚

Ok now that I have redeemed my self-confidence as a novice and hobbyst blogger, lets have a look at the outfit from past weekend, shall we ?

I love Autumn, for more reasons than one: for the beautiful weather change, for the gorgeous hide and seek of grey skies with sunshine, for all the stunning colors on the trees and ground, for all the hot beverages, for the beginning of festive feel and last but not the least for the autumn clothing.

In the pictures below, I am wearing all things Zara except for the heels, which are from H&M. I loved layering the crop sweater with a pop of color. I also liked the stripe pattern on the top which goes well with the pattern on my grey midi skirt. All in all nothing fancy but cosy, comfortable and classic.Β  What do you think?

Hope you enjoyed the look.

Keep smiling and stay blessed my friends!

  1. Hey Saabri, I understand the struggle! Studying and running a blog together is no child’s play but no worries love, take your time, it’s the quality of post that matters not the quantity. And you are doing a fab job with the content of your blog!
Now coming onto the outfit, I loved how you styled a breezy skirt for the fall, looks so elegant and chic πŸ™‚

  3. I don’t know how many times, I’ve committed blog suicide if you take my “Sorry for being MIA” into account! πŸ˜› I consider myself to be a full-time blogger as, I’m caught up amidst the most dreaded visa of all times, H4! I have secured a Master’s degree in Immunology and Immunogenetics from a renowned University in the UK, and moved to the United States after being married. With so much time in my hand, due to lack of an opportunity to work, and for the love of fashion, I took up blogging as my profession (Self proclaimed!) Now, all that info (I hope it wasn’t TMI) about me was to tell you that it is hard being a blogger, let alone being a blogger, and pursuing PhD. Period! I fail to post regularly, and I’ve the same thoughts, as you do. But, you are doing a great job! PhD isn’t everyone’s cup of teas, I know the stress one has to endure during its course. I’m soon going to start my MBA, and I can already feel the stress, and pressure. So, I can totally understand your plight, and you do not have to justify yourself πŸ™‚ We understand, love!

That’s a pretty outfit! Love those shots πŸ™‚

  4. Saabri you are doing amazing!! phd and blog is absolutely not easy to manage and you still somehow find time to post occasionally.. You should be beaming with pride and pat yourself for all the amazing work you do. Our minds can tell us otherwise but please believe all of us when we say you are ah-mazing and continue with what feels right to you. Blogging is definitely close to a full time job and I have found it so so difficult to post so mnay times. Do what you can and that is enough. πŸ™‚

I am in love with the outfit. That skirt is so so pretty πŸ™‚ Have a wonderful day!
