I recently did a mini haul in Sephora and thought of sharing it with all you guys!!!
There are so many beauty stores here in Zurich but unfortunately no Sephora. I was so excited to know that Manor, which is one of the largest Swiss departmental stores has recently collaborated with Sephora and oh so näive me, I thought now when I enter the biggest Manor in Zurich, I will see a Sephora corner somewhere in there. Unfortunately, it is an online collab , so we do get some products that are otherwise not available like Peter Thomas Roth, Nars, Too Faced etc etc but I somehow lost my interest in buying online from Manor. What I did instead was trying the Sephora online main website and because I wasn’t too sure about the customs drama etc I thought I should go for a mini haul and first see what my experience is.
I am so glad I decided to do that, because I loved my entire experience starting from visiting the website to checking the confirmation email of my order in the end. To add to my wonderful experience, I not only got free samples of the brand that I have heard such good things about but also I received (free) birthday gift 🙂 YAY!!
Are you excited to see whet I got? Let me show you then 🙂
The package arrived to me in less than the estimated time. Sephora shared the link where I could check for the status of my package, which I thought was very reassuring and convenient. To tell you guys the truth I am not an online shopper. I am too impatient to wait for the products to arrive and also I don’t want to miss out on the whole tangible experience of shopping in the physical stores, its more real for me somehow. But neither in Zurich, nor in Germany (where I live on weekends) we have Sephora. There are other beauty stores like Douglas, Manor, Marionmaud etc but nothing like Sephora really. Last time I had to cross border and go to Colmar and Strassbourg in France for shopping in Sephora. The cities are beautiful but sadly the Sephora stores are not as impressive there. In Montpellier (France), they have a good size sephora store, but as I was there for a very intensive conference, I hardly got 20 minutes to shop there 😦
Anyway coming back to my haul this time: I wanted to try so many products from so many diferent brands but because I am lately into masks (I am taking break from sheet masks these days, by the way) and facial cleansers, I thought I should try out Boscia cleanser along with their dark spot treatment. I also purchased lip serum/ treatment from Peter Thomas Roth and overnight face radiance mask from First Aid Beauty. The free samples I received were from brands Philosophy and Argan oil moisturizer from Josie Maran. I wanted to buy a few products from Murad but unfortunately this brand cant be shipped to Germany!
Then I chose my birthday gift from Sephora: the choice was between Fresh soy cleanser and rose mask and Marc Jacobs lipstick and eyeliner. As I had recently heard such good things about Fresh soy cleanser and rose mask, I thought it was a sign for me to bring this “Fresh” goodness into my life.
I will review the products after a few good use of them. I must mention, it is not a sponsored post in any way, I just wanted to share my excitement with you guys about my wonderful shopping experience with Sephora. I think it is hassle free, super efficient and transparent system. I am already looking forward to making a bigger purchase during holiday season !!!
I would love to hear your opinion and experience on any of these products or brands. So far I love the lip serum from Peter Thomas Roth and radiance mask from First Aid Beauty, can’t wait to try out other products from them.
Stay happy , stay blessed my dear friends !
